Painting, Textile
Born and raised in New Jersey, Laura Warne is a lifelong artist and maker. She studied painting and mixed media art at Carnegie Mellon University and graphic design and illustration at the School of Visual Arts. Today she works in communications for Rutgers University and continues to make and exhibit art. She’s looking forward to bringing a variety of paintings and textile art to this event. My shop is a collection of little moments for happy walls. It was made to inspire, decorate and add some color to your special space.
In my work, I enjoy exploring the relationship between texture and surface; the translation of light and color into a newer, more contemporary forms. Celebrating the beauty of imperfection.
My work is inspired by the endless beauty of nature. Its unique colors and shapes inspire me to develop my own interpretation and create a new, intuitive surface of rich textures, details and rhythms.
I mainly work in soft oil pastels, wax pastels and colored pencils, but I also enjoy exploring in ink and gouache as well as mixing different media. -

Meesook Choe has started and pursued fine art throughout her life. She graduated with a BFA from the fashion Institute of technology, and worked as a created professional in the beauty industry, serving as Creative Director for L’Oreal for almost two decades. Her originals are in the permanent collections of several cooperations and many private collections in the United States, Europe, and Asia.

Anya Ellia is a long-time resident of Maplewood, New Jersey. She has always found peace and inspiration in the beauty of the town, and through her latest series of watercolors, she has brought this together with her eye for color and passion for painting. Anya hopes that these works will bring a vibrant and personal touch to the homes of neighbors and art lovers.
In addition to the watercolors, Anya is working on a collection of upcycled dresses made from men’s shirts called Dress#. The pieces are hand-painted, hand-embroidered, and each one is completely unique. -

I am Stupid Sloth Cards, and I make hand drawn cards featuring animals wearing clothes and frequently (almost always) cursing. I also make small framed drawings, watercolors, prints, stickers, magnets and other items featuring the same wacky characters. My style is, well, awkwardly cartoony? Simple and untrained? I guess you can just call it, stupid sloth style, with the emphasis on stupid.

Ken Stanek has often been described as a "local watercolor documentarian”, which he likes quite a bit. Ken began his art career in 2023 and his work as an artist in 1977. He draws on 20 years of skills from his graphic design career to build his brand & support his art community. After being diagnosed with Chronic Lyme Disease in 2022, Sophie recognized that healing takes place at the cellular level. Fascinated by mast cells, spike proteins, and the shapes and patterns of nerve bundles, Sophie’s current body of work consists of various micro-environments filled with bright colors and repetitive mark making.

Glynnis Goff of Sprout Arts is a printmaker and painter based in Maplewood, New Jersey. She recently graduated from Mount Holyoke College with a degree in Art Studio and Film/Media/Theater. Her style is expressive and semi-realistic, and she primarily works linocut and gouache. Available for sale will be her linocut prints, patches, and stickers, as well as five-minute pen portraits to be drawn from life by request during the event.

My name is Rosemary Joaquin and I’m a paper flower artist inspired by nature’s quiet elegance. Since 2018, I’ve been crafting lifelike blooms from crepe paper—cutting, shaping, and tinting each petal by hand with watercolors, acrylics, and pastels. Through my flowers, I aim to share nature’s beauty in a lasting, personal way—inviting others to see the extraordinary in the everyday. At the sale, she will be selling variations of her designs in the form of t-shirts and sweatshirts, hats, iron on patches, wall art, and more! She also loves to bring the customer's vision to life through custom artwork and is open for commissions.

Working with acrylic paints, she transforms thrifted frames into one-of-a-kind pieces of art, often incorporating the frame itself into the design for a fully reimagined look. Her work is characterized by playful, abstract interpretations of everyday objects—florals, fruits, motifs, symbols, and colors that evoke mood and emotion. Natalie spent 17 years in a career in education as a teacher, coach, and leader, and coming back to painting as her full-time focus changed her life. She hopes her art will help others embrace their own abundant creative possibilities, too.
